HiSOPE is a European project selected by the European Innovation Council as part of the Pathfinder Challenge on Responsible Electronics call for proposals.

HiSOPE addresses the fundamental scientific and technological challenges for the decarbonation of the digital society by focusing and developing sustainable and responsible electronics. We aim to create innovative solutions based on novel high-speed and broadband organic optoelectronic materials, devices and systems which are more environmentally friendly than traditional materials.

The HiSOPE vision is to develop high-performance organic optoelectronic materials, devices and systems, providing alternative technologies to III-V semiconductors for different photonics and optoelectronics applications. Applications include high data-rate optical interconnects and wireless light communication.
